Up to 20% bonus Velocity Points from selected card rewards

Velocity has a transfer bonus offer for selected card rewards programs, with two main paths.

Eligible members can receive 10% bonus Velocity Points when they manually transfer eligible reward points to Velocity at least once in each calendar month for two consecutive months between 1 May and 30 June 2026. Alternatively, eligible members may receive 20% bonus Velocity Points when they opt in to auto transfer during the promotion period and meet the offer requirements.

The Reward Pilot take

This is useful, but it is not the simplest offer on the runway.

The headline is “up to 20%”, but the details matter. Manual transfers and auto transfer have different requirements, and not every member or card setup will qualify in the same way.

So before transferring anything, check whether your card rewards program is included, whether you need to opt in, and whether you are eligible for the manual or auto transfer path.

This could be useful if:

You already collect flexible card reward points.

You were planning to move points to Velocity anyway.

You need to top up your Velocity balance for a specific redemption.

You understand the transfer rate from your card program to Velocity.

Watch before you transfer

The biggest trap with transfer bonuses is moving points without a plan.

Flexible card points can be valuable because they give you options. Once you move them into Velocity, they are Velocity Points.

That may be exactly what you want. But if you are not sure, pause before transferring.

Velocity also notes that bonus points are subject to the offer terms and timing, including allocation rules.

Final boarding call

This can be a handy booster if you already planned to transfer points to Velocity.

But don’t let the bonus make the decision for you. Work backwards from the trip you want, then decide whether the transfer makes sense.
